We are elated to welcome home Pepper, honored she will be entrusted to us and joining our fleet. Pepper was built right next to Skinny Legs in 1998 (the same year FlyAway Charters was born by original owner Kurt, and the same year Colin moved to STJ – GOOD YEAR!) and has had quite an amazing journey.
It has been chartered previously by a few great couples like Kevin and Lisa (original builders), Fred and Renee (who rocked Pepper out of Maho for years), Kim and Lance and Rob and Michelle (current owners who saved her from a post Irma watery death).
Desiring to have her back in STJ waters, we’ve been called on to now manage her in our fleet. While you may remember us as having only powerboats for the past 5 years, we were previously living on and sailing our classic wooden 1938 gaff rigged tahiti ketch Buxom. Before we met, Colin fully gutted/restored her, had many sailing adventures on down island and participated in many regattas (along with many repairs along the way…haha).
We are so thrilled to have Pepper in the fleet and a classic wooden boat under our care again that was built on St. John. We can’t wait to start chartering her!
